Despite the loss against Remo Stars, Bayelsa United’s head coach, Meremu Okara, has praised his team.
In their matchday 23 encounter, the Prosperity Boys were defeated 1-0 by the Sky Blue Stars on Saturday.
At the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne, Adams Olamilekan scored the game’s winning goal in the second half of the contest.
According to Okara, the players demonstrated tenacity and resolve during the match.
He also exhorted the team to focus on their upcoming league match.
He told the club’s reporters, “Well done guys, not the outcome we wanted but we must commend your doggedness and determination.”
“We head back home to get ready for the next game, which is next week at Samson Siasia Stadium against the Niger Tornadoes.”
